How the VS Code / Copilot integration works

Mida exposes a remote MCP server at https://mcp.mida.so/mcp. VS Code with GitHub Copilot Chat MCP support can add it as an HTTP MCP server in user or workspace MCP configuration.

Requirements

An active Mida dashboard account.
Access to the Mida project you want VS Code to use.

How to use VS Code / Copilot with Mida

In VS Code, open the Command Palette and run MCP: Open User Configuration, or add a workspace-level .vscode/mcp.json file.
Add a server named mida with type http and url https://mcp.mida.so/mcp, then save the MCP configuration.
Use MCP: List Servers to start or verify the server. When VS Code prompts for authorization, sign in with Mida and choose the project your editor should use.
Use GitHub Copilot Chat with Mida tools to inspect experiments, create drafts, or fetch preview URLs.
